The United Reformed Church
(Brief history - Full version at bottom of page)
No record has been found of the original financier, but it was obviously thought there was a need for non-conformist worship in the village. Originally the building had a Lantern Roof, to let in more light. In July 1972, the porch was damaged when a milk lorry collided with the building resulting in re-configuration of the main entrance and at that time the lantern roof was removed.
Over the years, there have only been 6 ministers ordained into the pastorate to Minister the Word and Sacrament. Visiting preachers in the past coming by cab, bicycle, & one even on horseback from ASHBOURNE.
Our worship is open to all each Sunday 10.30am. Holy Communion is celebrated each month.
Everyone is made welcome, we are all equal, God welcomes us all. - Eunice
