Little Eaton War Memorials
The Lychgate at the entrance to St Pauls’ Church houses the War Memorial plaques listing those who fell in WW1 and WW2. There is also a memorial, kept in the Headteacher’s office at the school, to "The Old Boys" of Little Eaton Council School who fell in "The Great War" 1914 - 1918.
There are 27 names on the list of men who gave their lives in WW1, the “War to end all Wars”.
At this time Little Eaton had a population of approximately 1200, much smaller than now. The number of casualties from our village ably illustrates the human cost of the conflict.
The School Memorial lists 26 names, some of which are on the Lychgate Memorial.
11 men from the village died for their country in WW2 1939-1945
